Longbox Privacy Policy

Data Longbox Stores

Longbox stores your library, reading history, wishlist, sample library records, and app settings locally on your device using Apple's local storage APIs.

If you enter Comic Vine or Marvel API keys, Longbox stores those keys in the Apple Keychain on your device. You can clear saved API keys from Settings.

You can remove a saved series from Series Detail. Removing a series also removes its local issues, reading history, and issue wishlist entries from Longbox on that device.

Data Longbox Sends

Longbox contacts Comic Vine and Marvel directly when you search for comics or load issue metadata. Requests may include your search terms, selected comic or series identifiers, and the API keys you provide for those services.

The Add Sample Library action creates local-only sample series and issues and does not contact a server.

Longbox does not run its own server for comic metadata, does not upload your reading history to a Longbox service, and does not redistribute cover images through a Longbox server.

Tracking And Analytics

Longbox does not include advertising SDKs, analytics SDKs, tracking SDKs, or third-party crash reporting SDKs.

Longbox does not track you across apps or websites.

Purchases And Accounts

Longbox does not currently offer in-app purchases, subscriptions, account creation, sign-in, social features, messaging, or user-generated public content.

Third-Party Services

Comic metadata and cover images are provided by Comic Vine and optionally Marvel. Those services may process requests under their own terms and privacy policies.
